WWCC Foundation exists to transform our students’ lives and the communities we serve. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we raise private financial support to assure access to students and educational excellence at WWCC.

WHO: Any interested volunteers! (Current WWCC students are not able to participate in reviewing applications)

WHAT: Join our Scholarship Review Committee. Every year, WWCC Foundation opens an application for +500 scholarships annually form October-February. Sometimes, we are able to open additional scholarships throughout the year, depending on need and funding available. On average, every reviewer takes on 21 applications to review in a month. Reviewers have shared that it is approximately a total of 3 hours. You have a month to complete that.

WHY: We value your input. We value diversity. Currently, our review committee consists of WWCC Foundation Board members, WWCC faculty/staff, members of multiple local organizations, and WWCC alumni! Great way to give back to the community and learn about the great students we serve at WWCC.

WHERE: Every reviewer will have an account through AwardSpring. You will be able to log anywhere. Information will automatically save allowing you to log in as often as you wish.

WHEN: Want to help? Simply complete the application! We will notify you when we have received your application and of any upcoming opportunities.

“I was very thankful to receive notification of this scholarship award. I am truly honored and overjoyed to be selected. This was my first time applying for a scholarship and it could not come at a better time. The complications and financial stress due to covid-19 have been very hard for everyone but having this extra funding will help me to continue towards my goal with less financial stress.”

“First and foremost, I want to send you my greatest thank you and appreciation. Being a recipient of the WWCC Foundation scholarship is a great honor not only to me, but to my family as well. The time that I have been furthering my education has been tough for me. I have not been able to receive financial aid which means my tuition is paid out of pocket. This scholarship is truly a blessing to me. I feel proud and accomplished to be able to receive some extra help.”
